Zion National Park, Utah: Weeping Rock


You may think this is beautiful, you may think this is ugly, you certainly aren't sure what you are looking at. That's Weeping Rock, a strange formation in Zion.

Water enters the rock at the top of the mountain, slowly works its way down through the material, and comes out here. The water leaves behind minerals, which explains the odd colors shown above.

Visitors can walk literally under the mountain here. Make sure you hang on to the guardrails, because it's a little slippery.
