Roaring River Falls supposedly is pretty noisy throughout the year. However, it's really noisy in late spring, when the snow above is melting quickly.
This waterfall goes about 40 feet down through an opening made of granite. Most people in the park usually stop by, since it's easy to get there and looks quite nice.
This is a short, winding walk uphill from the highway parking lot to get there, as well as a slightly short path that involves a bit of a hill. Either way, it's not too taxing to see it.
Here's a summer tip for visitors: The wind cuts through the opening, and throws some cool air out on to the viewing areas. In the hot summer months, this is like sitting in air conditioning. Bring a picnic basket for your next visit.
