Stockholm, Sweden: Parliament House

Here's a building that knows how to make an entrance.

Parliament House takes up a great deal of the Old Town district in Stockholm, as you could imagine, and it isn't far from the City Center. It's not far from the Royal Palace and other attractions.

The building was finished in 1905, and is designed to reflect the country's love of democracy. So there is no admission charge, and there is plenty of seating so that people can watch the legislators in action, so to speak. You should know there are no reservations, so it may take a while for the line for the guided tour to melt.
