Tallinn, Estonia: Tall Hermann Tower

Tall Hermann sounds like someone who went in the first round of the NBA Draft. Instead, it's an important landmark in Estonian history.

You can see the flagpole at the top of the tower, 95 meters up. The flag has symbolized who is in charge in Estonia over the years. Therefore, it was with a certain amount of pride and glee that the flag of Estonia went up in February 1989.

You can climb the steps and look out on the city if you'd like. And it's free!
