This building is easy to spot, but tough to find. We picked it out while walking around the top of the MAS in downtown Antwerp. It was a short walk to the waterfront. There we discovered it was quite closed.
It turns out the building has been around since 1895. The structure houses various port-related services, with the occasional public exhibit as well. But it closed in 2017 for some reason.
Don't be sad. Soon it will be reborn as the Fleming Cultural Center. The target date for the re-opening is 2024. That certainly sounds like a great idea, based on the beauty of the building.
