Llangollen, Wales

The towns can be quite small in Northern Wales, and they are difficult to visit. But that doesn't mean that they aren't scenic.

That certainly fits Llangollen, which is located in that part of the world. It's located right on the River Dee, which eventually goes through a canal and empties into the Irish Sea. There's an aqueduct that is a UNESCO Heritage Site, but we didn't make it that far.

Llangollen has a couple of economic engines, and they are very different. One is the tourist industry - which isn't surprising since this was written by a tourist. The other is farming. This is sheep country, and seem to be around every corner on the roads. About 3,600 people - and probably many more sheep - live here.

It's quite pretty - as my photo and this video shows.
