Cape Bonavista, Newfoundland

It's difficult to take a bad photograph in this part of the world. 

Yes, there is a lighthouse at the edge of Cape Bonavista. There are lot of them in this part of the world, naturally. However, the star of the show is the rock formations in the immediate area. They are spectacular. 

It doesn't take long while admiring the view to notice the puffins who pop in from time to time. There is an island not far into the water that is a major puffin habitat. Yes, they are still cute. 

This was one of the best spots in Newfoundland during our trip, and we saw a lot of the province. The formations offer all sorts of views, and it's easy to walk along paths and see new locations as well as have different angles to photograph the "old" ones.

Down the road a bit is a memorial to fisherman who lost their lives in the area. Nice touch.
