Copenhagen, Denmark: Tivoli Gardens

It's probably not fair to call Tivoli Gardens the world's most famous amusement park. Disneyland/Disney World probably has that title wrapped up.

But this attraction right in the middle of downtown Copenhagen is high on the list. It's the second-oldest amusement park in the world.

The rides are the big attraction, naturally. Tivoli has a wood roller-coaster than turned 100 in 2014. Other rides on the grounds appear to be world class, at least from the ground.

But there are some nice gardens around the grounds, as well as music (Lady Gaga played there in 2015 with Tony Bennett) and restaurants. While I was only there in the daytime, the lightning at night is said to be spectacular.
