First of all, there's the location. It's in a great spot for a fort, overlooking the meeting of the Sava and Danube Rivers. That means it's also great for views on a summer day, as it ranks with the best of the region.
Second, it's mostly a park - Kalemegdan Park. There's a zoo there, an art pavilion, walking paths, statues, monuments, and fountains. When we were there, a three-on-three soccer tournament was taking place near an overlook.
OK, there is a fortress there with a ton of military history attached that stretches back more than 2,000 years, but most people just want to enjoy the grounds.
Residents of Belgrade love the park, and most tourists try to make time for a visit there. There are no short videos available of the area, perhaps because there is no much to see. So if you are really curious, here's a long one.
