Bilbao, Spain: The Tiger Building

This photo was taken a ways away from an attractive building, but there's the sculpture of an animal on top. Yup, this is the Tiger Building; wonder how many meetings it took to settle on that.

An industrialist had a factor on that site in the 1930s. Around 1940, he decided he needed a new building and went to work. The tiger caught everyone's eye, so it's not surprising that the structure took on that name.

The building said farewell to its factory days a while ago, and now it is used for apartments. Still, with a view of the river, it's a nice place to live.
