But there is a star of the show, one that brings busloads of people every so often - a piece of metal that's more than 20 feet long.
The metal is part of a statue that comes from New York City. It's part of the structure that made up the Twin Towers, that felt to the ground on September 11, 2001. (Derm Flynn was the major at the time.)
As you probably know, many airplanes were diverted to Gander, and several thousand passengers were stuck in the area for several days. This is a tribute to those that hosted the unexpected visitors, as the job spilled over to towns other than Gander.
The park was started by donations from the visitors. There's a ceremony on September 11 every year to mark the occasion.
