Copenhagen, Denmark: St. Alban's Church

It's nice to have a pretty church next to a big fountain, and Copenhagen comes through nicely here. St. Alban's Church is right next to the Gefion Fountain near the waterfront.

The Anglican church opened in 1887 and is dedicated to Saint Alban, a martyr of Great Britain. England had a major presence in Copenhagen at one time, mostly because of shipping and trading, so a good-sized church was a natural fit.

It's in a great location too, so it's worth a peak if you are in the neighborhood.
