Barcelona, Spain: Pont del Bisbe

You won't see a better looking "bridge" - or, more to the point, an elevated walkway than this one. It's the Pont del Bisbe, which translates as "The Bishop's Bridge." It runs between Casa dels Canonges (Canon’s House) and the Palau de la Generalitat, and it was built at the start of the 20th century.

The bridge is located right next to the Barcelona Cathedral, so it's tough not to bump into the structure, figuratively speaking, if you are in the area.

Supposedly there a skull and dagger on the underside of it, and a number of legends have been created to go with that. It is said that if you make a wish while walking backwards and looking at the skull, your wish will come true. I have no idea if that's true, but this is definitely worth a look if you are in the neighborhood.

Sadly, I couldn't find any videos of what it is like to walk across that bridge. Maybe if you run into the bishop during a trip, he can take care of you.
