Zagreb, Croatia: Archbishop's Palace

You'd expect the Archbishop of a cathedral in Zagreb to have nice living quarters, and so he does. 

This one dates back to 1729, although there are elements that go back a few hundred years before that. There's a garden on the property. Even better, it's a very short commute by foot for the Archbishop when he goes to work at the nearby Cathedral.

You'd probably guess that earthquakes have caused some damage to such an old place, and you'd be right. The shakes of 1880 and 2020 resulted in some good-sized restoration.
