Bernkastel, Germany: Barenbrunnen

One little tip about this fountain in the downtown area of Bernkastel. The bear is the mascot of the city. So who could resist the chance to salute them this way?

An earlier statue of a bear came down in 1899. It took a mere 69 years, but another one went up to take its place. It's an easy photo opportunity, especially with kids.
