Bryce Canyon, Utah: Rainbow Point

The changing seasons sure has done some fascinating things to the ground around here. In this case, caves were chewed out of the rock near Rainbow Point. It looks like a good place for a little siesta on a hot summer day, but it's a rather steep climb to get up there. The birds seemed to like it.

By the way, this picture was taken on May 20 ... and it snowed on that day. You are up in the clouds a little bit, so dress appropriately.
