Bamberg, Germany: Little Venice

Little Venice? Really?

No, this will not immediately remind you of a certain famous city in Italy. And who cares?

This stretch of waterfront property is charming to stand on its own merits.

The area dates back to the Middle Ages, when housing belonged to the fishermen of the area. The buildings aren't that old, but go back to the 1800s.

There are places to dock a boat out front, and some great gardens waiting for that boat to visit. Might be worth a gondola ride if this is the way for you to relax.
