The facility keeps more than 40 huskies. This started with keeping a few around the grounds, and then a family wanted to add a few more ... and a few more ... and a few more. Suddenly they were everywhere, located in small huts only a handful of feet from the family residence.
The dogs are bred to run, and they start barking like crazy when they think they will get the chance to do so. It's almost like they all are saying "Pick me!" We had a similar experience in Alaska.
There are several such places that host tourists in that part of the world. It's a good way to see the local culture from close range.
