Svolvaer, Norway: The Goat

If you have the feeling something is looking over your shoulder in Svolvaer, you're right.

A good-sized mountain overlooks the town, and it comes with a special feature. There's a rock formation, which has a gap between portions of it at the top. It's five feet across. Those daring enough can climb up to the top of one, and jump to the other side. When they do, they have been on both sides of what is called the "Goat" locally.

The formation is 984 feet up; It is tough to find from this angle. The history books say that Ferdinand Schjelderup, Alf Bonnevie Bryn, and Carl Wilhelm Rubenson reached the top of the mountain on August 1, 1910. Then in 2010, nine-year-old Magnus Holm followed in their footsteps ... and also jumped the horns of the goat.
