Bergen, Norway: St. Mary's Church

Bergen has a great deal of old buildings; it's a big part of the charm. Naturally one of them is a church, because that rule is always true in Europe.

Here's St. Mary's Church. Construction on this one started somewhere around 1140, and it took about 40 years to finish it. Naturally, there have been fires along the way (there was a particularly big one in 1248), but the good people of Bergen keep fixing the place up. The last major renovation took place in 2015, but keeping an old place like this standing is a constant battle.
