The Monument a la Sardana was finished in 1966 by sculptor Josep Cañas, It is located on the entrance to the fairgrounds in Montjuïc - up the hill looking down on Barcelona. The work portrays eight members of a local dance group displaying their talents.
It has had some work done over the year. It received some restoration work in 1984. Then in 2020, the work was seriously vandalized. It took a year and a half and 23,000 Euros to fix, but it looks quite attractive now. This is hard to miss when walking to the main viewing area of the city.
