Cardston, Alberta: Remington Carriage Museum

What does one do on a very rainy day in the Waterton Lakes National Park area? One option is to get in the car, drive a half-hour to Cardston, and check out the Remington Carriage Museum.

If you want to see how North America traveled before the automobile, this is the place. There is a wide variety of carriages here, from fancy ones suitable for Park Ave. to stagecoaches. It is presented quite well, and 250 or so carriages ought to keep you interested long enough for the rain to blow over.
