Nassau, Bahamas: Ardastra Gardens

Hard not to smile when you take a look at the Caribbean flamingo, the official bird of the Bahamas. They are the featured attraction of Ardastra Gardens in Nassau.

More particularly, a flock of the birds has been taught to march together. That's right, marching flamingos. They go through their paces a few times a day for the tourists, who all find it fun to watch.

There are plenty of other plants and animals on the grounds. If you are considering a visit, take this in mind: how many places do you get to pose for a photograph with a parrot on your head?
