Ottawa, Ontario: Parliament Hill
Most people take pictures of Canada's Parliament Hill from the other side. Not me. Here's what it looks like from across the river, in Quebec.
The Peace Tower is the highest part of the building, a tribute to those killed in World War I. There are 53 bells in the tower, and visitors can go up there and take a look. The tour also includes a visit to the library (to the right of the Peace Tower above), which survived a fire that wiped out the rest of the building in 1916. The building has plenty of historical references, of course, and it's interesting even to the non-Canadians out there.
