Roosevelt Campobello International Park, New Brunswick
Franklin Roosevelt had nothing but good memories of this pleasant little island, and it's easy to see why. It was the family playground. Oh, and the summer cottage, shown above, wasn't difficult to take either.
Campobello Island can only be reached by bridge from Lubec, Maine (be sure to set your watch ahead an hour). The house above has a nice view out the backyard of the Bay of Fundy, which as you no doubt know has the world's most powerful tides. There are plenty of recreational opportunities on the island, which eventually was turned into a park. Visitors can even see some whales from the island's edge if they are lucky.
